Over the past 60 years, AHLS has accumulated a tremendous amount of experience servicing the pulp and paper industry in Canada and the United States.
We began operations in Canada in 1954, selling Kamyr digesters, acid bisulphite plants, and
dryers, and have since provided process engineering services and custom-designed equipment to most chemical pulp and paper mills – as well as several TMP mills– in both countries.
The scope of services and equipment we provide ranges from engineering audits and cost studies through to the design and deployment of large-scale integrated systems.
Our services and system solutions include:
- Process mechanical & instrumentation design, operational & safety audits, cost studies and on-site troubleshooting
- Waste gas collection system – CNCG and DNCG
- Waste gas incineration through regenerative thermal/catalytic oxidizer or direct-fired oxidizer
- Scrubbers for waste gas conditioning
- Steam stripping colum for foul condensate TRS and BOD removal
- Evaporator and crystallizer to concentrate or crystallize solids from liquors or brines
- Heat recovery systems and heat exchangers for kraft and TMP pulp mills

- Methanol purification systems to produce commercial grade high purity 99.85% methanol
